Aspull Engineering are accredited to:
C.E. Mark B.S.E.N 1090 : Ex Class 3
B.S.E.N. ISO 9001:2015
The standards set out in BS EN 1090-1 make it mandatory (as of Summer 2014) for all structural steelwork delivered to site to be CE marked, failure to do so is a criminal offence which could result in prosecution. It is now the responsibility of the main contractor or the client to appoint a steelwork contractor with an execution class which is equal to or greater than that required for the project.
CE Marking compliance is now a condition of membership of the British Constructional Steelwork Association.
There are four levels of 'execution class' or certification under which every new steel structure has to be classified (this applies to the works as a whole and to individual components). Aspull Engineering are now accredited up to and including Execution Class Level Three which covers:
• Execution Class 1: Basic structures, for example agricultural buildings
• Execution Class 2: Applicable to most buildings constructed in the UK
• Execution Class 3: Special structures including bridges and walkways.
Aspull Engineering Limited are one of the few companies in the North West to be accredited up to CE Marking Execution Class 3.
